Say Goodbye to Iga
Time to say goodbye to Iga City, Mie where I spent 12 years living a country life.
Soon I start to live in Tondabayashi City, Osaka.
Final run at my home course near Hido Station.
Surrounded by hills, rivers and rice fields, it's so calm and comfortable. I see few cars and people around me.
All I can hear is the song of the birds and the wind.
Whatever I see is unforgettable scenery, it's hard to say goodbye.
I'm sure I'll be back someday.

We're Moving
Found a place to live in Tondabayashi, Osaka.
It's in the south of Osaka City about 25km from Temmabashi.
About 50-year-old Japanese-style house looks so great we were surprised to see it.
The land is as large as 1000 square meters.
There are 15 rooms including dining kitchen and living room.
But it's too old to start to live now. The roof leaks partly and some windows are broken.
We need to renovate here, there and everywhere of the house.

View from Japanese room with tatami mats
Front view of the house, the entrance had been hidden by the grasses before we cut
I still have my room in an apartment house in Iga, Mie.
Before I leave Japan for Europe, I have to move out of Mie carrying everything I have in Mie.
That's why my PEACE RUN 2016 Running Around Europe starts in late July.
I haven't decided exact date of the departure.

Mom & Dad
Visited Mom & Dad with my wife Piapi just before I leave Japan for Europe.
They're both 85 years old this year, still fine.
They walk, talk and eat a lot, which must be the secret of longevity.

Progear Eyeguard
One of the official sponsors of PEACE RUN, Progear Vision offers eyewear Progear Eyeguard.
Ideal eyewear should be made much of functionality as well as fashionableness.
There are many scenes when we enjoy sports.
For example, we got to be careful about protecting our eyes against the impact from the ball when we do ball games.
When we are outdoors, we have to protect our eyes against strong ultra violet rays.
I have used Progear Eyeguard since 2013 when I ran PEACE RUN 2013 Running Across Australia.
Light weight...I almost forget wearing...and I like the feeling of excellent fitting too.
Sophisticated design is also the reason I chose Progear Eyeguard.
A plenty of color variation, you can choose your favorite.
I run and wear Progear Eyeguard in PEACE RUN 2016 Running Around Europe too.

Adventure Day
June 1 is my personal anniversary "Adventure Day" when I set out on a epic journey biking across USA(1991) and biking across the Arctic Circle & Canada(1994).
In 1994 after the 2nd trek, I was biking in New Zealand and across Australia, where I traveled across the two countries on foot in 2013 and 2014 again.
I was young enough to spend whole my power and energy on those two adventure treks.
But 20 years after the first trek, I ran across the same continent again.
* PEACE RUN 2011 Running Across America
* PEACE RUN 2013 Running Across Australia
* PEACE RUN 2014 Running Across New Zealand
You know I still keep on running and traveling around the world in that way.
* PEACE RUN Running Around The World
Hope I'll be on the road traveling day after day until the final day of my life.
*See the history of my adventure

Kasugai Kizuna Marathon 2016
Attended Kasugai Kizuna Marathon as a guest runner for the 3rd year in a row.
This is a charity marathon which supports earthquake recovery in Tohoku and Kyushu.
And also this is an unprecedented marathon race which is held at driving school.
I've never seen or run such a unique marathon in Japan.
As this is a 2.5 hour-relay marathon, runners have to pass the TASUKI belt in a relay race.
I was a leader of Team Kizuna which was made up of 7 runners.
Most of us the members ran in One-Tooth Geta.
That's why our team was sometimes called Team One-Tooth Geta.
We were not very fast runners but we enjoyed running the most.
Running together means living together in this era on the planet earth.
We realize we're all connected to each other under the same sky, which can create WORLD PEACE!

Oosu Kannon, Nagoya
Visited Nagoya for the first time in 2 months for One-Tooth Geta Twilight Hike in Oosu Kannon.
Walked along the shopping arcade in Oosu Kannon Dori Street with pals in One-Tooth Geta(OTG) held by One-Tooth Geta Club.
As you may know, One-Tooth Geta is a magic footwear which activates our body and mind.
We often have an event here, there and everywhere in Japan to let people know how good OTG is.
I am going to take OTG with me when I visit Europe in June.
